The base of my electric humidifier got put under water, can I still use it?
I figure I should leave it off and unplugged overnight to let the parts dry out, but it says on there to never put the base under water. I’m scared to turn it on. Is one day enough time for it to dry out and be safe to plug in again?
I don’t know..if it was only underwater VERY briefly, like you accidentally dropped it in the tub & quickly pulled it out, it might not have been enough time for the water to really get inside it but if it was underwater for longer than 10 seconds I would just chuck it & get a new one. They are so cheap, I just got one that sprays warm mist for 20 bucks at WalMart.
