is my humidifier broken?
We got a vicks humidifier from target it was about 20 dollars which i am guessing might mean its cheap. The first time and second time we used it I could really tell it was on because i would feel it in the air but this last time we used it about 2 weeks ago every night i changed the water but it still felt like it was not on has something gone bad in it To me it didnt seem like it had worked that time but i continued to use it because we were all sick. Also it came with these coupons for vicks stuff to add to the thing but i am assuming that stuff is not safe for a 1 year old right?
The stuff isn’t safe, but chances are if it came with coupons for the stuff, it’s a warm mist humidifier, which is also not safe to be used around a child. I’d go get a cool mist humidifier. Warm mist humidifiers are quicker to grow mold and bacteria and also are burn and fire hazards. If your baby pulls on the cord and it topples onto them, baby can get some nasty liquid burns.
