Health questions about our newborn. ?
Our 4 week old baby just got out of the hospital the other day. He was in for 6 days with RSV. He is still struggling at night. Extremely congested and breathing extremely fast, like panting and you can see his tummy retracting. He gets really bad at night. I use the bulb suringe with saline nasal drops, a humidifier, and have him sleeping upright. they told me he is getting enough oxygen so i have nothing to worry about but when he starts panting and having rapid breathing i cant help but worry. He has also started having trouble eating. He is bottle fed and has started crying and making almost like gagging noises while feeding. Anyone experience all these things? Any suggestions? Just looking to see if anyone else went through this.
i think you might need to get a second opinion! but that is just my opinion!
if he looks like he is struggling for air & not eating well than i think thats enough to make an urgent appointment!
