My toddler has a chronic runny nose would a humidifier help or worsen…?
Would a humidifier help or worsen his runny nose. He turned 1 Oct. 27. The humidity level in his room right now is at 52%. He has had a runny nose for about 3 months now! It is getting worse it seems. I wipe and it runs right back out! He just developed a dry cough a couple days ago and I have been using Vicks vapor rub on the bottoms of his feet. That is REALLY helping that situation. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!
Thanks that is what I was thinking but wanted to see what others thought as well. The doctor has prescribed amoxicillan and it didn’t work at all!!! We have an appt for Nov. 18!!!! I may try to get him in earlier!!! Thanks!
I think it would make it worse. Humidifiers are for congested, plugged up noses aren’t they? Seems like it would make it runnier. They’re so inexpensive (You can find one for about $15) that it doesn’t hurt to try though. Try and figure out what’s causing the runny nose. Have you asked his doctor? Maybe he has dust allergies. If you haven’t already get rid of all the stuffed animals in the room, get plastic sheets for his bed and see if it helps.
