baby congested, humidifier vs vaporizer?
My baby is 5 months old and is always congested at night. This causes me to be up all night and him to miss feedings and toss and turn, unable to breathe. I have a cool mist humidifier by his crib but I have found it does nothing to help. We live in Houston where the A/C is constantly on and I think the cold air from the A/C and the cold air from the humidifier just make matters worse. So, I am thinking about getting a vaporizer because the steam should undoubtedly help keep his nose unclogged but I am worried that it will make the room too hot…Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you.
My pediatrician recommended a vaporizer for my daughters congestion and it definitely helped. My daughter still sleeps in my room and I didn’t feel it made the room too hot and after 3 days of using the vaporizer her nose cleared up and we haven’t had to use it since.
