How to get rid of cat dander?

I just moved into a condo today. The previous tenant had a cat and lived there for the past four years. They had professional cleaners clean today and the carpets cleaned. However, when I’m in the condo, my allergies start acting up. I heard an air humidifier would help but I want to know if there are any other ways to get rid of the cat dander in my condo???

I’d rent a steam cleaner (or if you have one, use that) and buy some specially made steam cleaning fluid for pets (dander, Allergin-free, etc.). I’d go over and over the same section at least 3-4 times each, then move to the next area. Use the whole bottle if you have to.

You may have to move furniture around to get all places in the house.

If it’s Shag carpet (lol, hope not), then I’d rip out the carpet – hee!
