Modern Homes Need Humidification
Domestic humidifiers are vastly different from those that are used in industrial applications while their purpose is basically the same. Home humidifiers came in 2 types, the evaporative, cool mist or wick humidifiers which all consist of a reservoir, a wick and a fan, the principals of how they work need little elaboration.

Humidifiers can be used throughout the year as air conditioning and central heating both affect the moisture content of the atmosphere, however, they should always be used with caution. If you have a free-standing humidifier then it should be according to manufacturers’ instructions well above the floor and away from furniture as they will end up getting damp which, as well as potentially damaging them directly can also cause mold and fungus.
