Sinus congestion?
Have a 13 year old complaining of sinus pressure alongside the upper nose and also in the forehead area. Someone said it might be sinus stuff. We have a dry heat (gas house) and am wondering if that could be a part of it. Also, she has been getting sick (colds, congestion) ever since she had the nasal flu vaccine. Never had a flu vaccine before. Any suggestions on treatment, remedies? Would a cold mist humidifier help or hurt?
The dryness is horrible right now. You can crack open a window while she sleeps just a little help with the moisture in the air, and allowing her to get fresh non-recycled air. Make sure she is bundled warmly though. I don’t believe in those flu vaccines they only seem to hurt! Have her take plenty of antibiotics. If you don’t have insurance or don’t like to take medication my favorite remedy is chewing one whole clove of garlic. The allicin in the garlic comes out when chewed and it is a natural pennicillin. Also warm teas with lemon, but make sure for every glass of tea she drinks she also drinks a glass of water because it will dehydrate her. You can put a towel over her head and have her lean over the hott cup to losen up the pressure. My favorite remedy though it hurts, is snorting a little salt water. It will dry up whatever bug is up her sinuses, and help her clear it out. Hope your daughter feels better.
