The Way to Pick the right Mist Humidifier for You or Your Baby?
Both Cool and warm mist humidifiers have been available for many years but many people are unsure of the differences between them. I am going to talk in this article about the benefits of each type of mist humidifier and give some advice on when you should choose each one. The effectiveness of mist humidifiers is becoming well known and this has led to a steep rise in their popularity. There are cool mist humidifiers and warm mist humidifiers and as the names would imply, they emit a fine mist of vapor at a cool or warm temperature in order to raise the humidity. It is worth mentioning right away that when it comes to comparing warm vs. cool mist humidifiers, they are both as effective as each other. The reason for selecting one or the other usually comes down to climate and safety. Some people feel slightly uncomfortable in warm and humid conditions, similar but not as strong as you would feel inside a greenhouse. This leads them to choose a cool mist product. There are also some safety concerns amongst parents of young babies with regard to using a warm mist humidifier in the vicinity of a baby due to the fact that hot water is involved. It is a fact that Warm mist humidifiers can be particularly useful in helping to alleviate cold symptoms. Some warm mist manufacturers provide a means to add certain inhalants to the water. These inhalants mix with the mist and add warm menthol to the air. This helps you breathe more easily when you are stuffed up.
Instead of a specific illness, many people just feel very uncomfortable in dry conditions. These conditions can occur in the middle of winter as much as in summer. When the humidity is low and you have what is known as a dry heat, chapped lips and saw sinuses are both common complaints. Dust and allergens also tend to become airborne when the air is very dry. A mist humidifier can be used to raise the humidity significantly bringing almost instant relief from these symptoms.
