Was $2225 way too much to pay for my new furnace or was it at least somewhat on key to the norm?
On Saturday, my old furnace gave out. The heat exchange went and I had to get a new furnace. Being the weekend, there was only one place open and they sold me an Aire-Flo 80 percent efficiency, 75,000 BTU, propane furnace with an add on humidifier for $2225. That was the price, out the door with tax and installation all included. It also included some kind of a emergency fee. There was no woodwork or duct work updating that was needed either.Did I pay way too much? What do you think?
Also, if anyone knows, is Aire-Flo a good brand? I know that they are owned by Lennox, but is it an equal furnace or is it more like Lennox’s cheaper companion?

DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE, AND WAS ANY AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT TO BE DELT WITH. I WOULD NOT TOUCH A LENNOX UNIT SO UNSURE OF THE COST. AND IF NO TRANSITIONS NEEDED TO BE MADE I THINK IT IS HIGH, IF AS SIMPLE AS YOU SAY I THINK ABOUT $400.00 TOO MUCH!
