10 month old multi symptoms, PLEASE HELP!?
It all started about two months ago when our 10 month old got really congested, my wife and I took him to the Doctor like four times within a couple of weeks because he couldn’t really eat and none of us were really sleeping because he couldn’t really breath. His mucus was a yellowish green but they wouldn’t presrcibe anything!! Everyone at the Hospital just kept saying “give him saline and a humidifier” which we did, but it had no affect, we also tried vaporizer but again no luck so back we go again to the Doctor who after the fifth visit or so “which by now he also had pink eye in both eyes!”prescribed Amoxicillin which started to clear up his breathing, but which also after five days gave him the runs, the worst diaper rash I have ever seen, another rash all over his little body which almost looks like chicken pox, he’s congested again and he has a fever now!! Can anyone help PLEEEAAASSSEEE!!!!!
It sounds like maybe an allergy. But, it shouldn’t be having such an effect on him that its been 2 months. I’m sure as you know, allergies come and go. I would really go to another doctor. If the antibiotics started to clear up the congestion but it came back, it means the amoxicillin was not strong enough. The pink eye was from the infection spreading into the eyes. As long as your insuance carrier allows it, make an appointment with an ENT (ear, nose & throat) doctor. My son had similar symptoms and he needed tubes in his ears and his tonsils and adnoids removed. So, call your insuance if you have to and call an ENT and make an appointment as soon as possible and until then, turn on your shower to the hottest setting and sit in the bathroom with your little one on your lap and let the baby breath in some of the steam..it might help a little with the congestion. Just please take caution that your son does not touch the water because it will be very hot.
