Warm mist or cool mist humidifier?
I am looking to buy a humidifier for my 6 1/2 month old son’s room. I looked in my “What to Expect the 1st Year” book and it says to buy a warm mist humidifier because the cool ones can breed bacteria. But, I look on Babies R Us and The Baby Depot stores online and the majority are cool mist humidifiers. So which one is it? Cool mist or warm mist?
The heat in my house causes me and my fiance to have dry sore throats in the morning. My son sometimes sleeps through the night and sometimes doesnt and I believe he is getting up because, like me, his throat is sore and wants a drink. He will literally drink 1 oz and go to sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night and have to get a glass of water too for the same reason.
Well, my daughter’s doctor recommended warm mist. Suppose to be better for colds & such. We purchased one and it works just great!
